Have you ever felt true love?

True love can only be found through Allah, because He is the source of love. The love you received from your mother comes from Allah. The kindness you show to your friend is a reflection of the love Allah has on you. The compassion you have for your pets is an effect of Allah’s love on you.

When you love Allah, it will lead you to love the people and things that Allah loves, and that includes our Prophet, Muhammad s.a.w.

Rasulullah s.a.w. said,

None of you will have faith till he loves me more than his father, his children and all mankind.

(Sahih al-Bukhari)

When you find in your heart true love for Allah and Rasulullah s.a.w., you will learn to love yourself correctly. You will know how to treat yourself, not like how society portrays self-love, but as what Allah has taught. You will eventually project love to the people around you, and you are able to love someone else sincerely because of Allah.
