Why is Jerusalem so important to the Abrahamic faiths? What is the historical significance of Al-Aqsa mosque?
Join us for an insightful lecture by Dr. Ismail Patel, the founder of Friends of Al-Aqsa, as he explores the rich history of the third holiest site in Islam. Dr. Patel will discuss the the site’s architecture, its spiritual connections to the Prophets of Islam and its virtues as referenced in the Quran. He will also discuss why this holy city matters to so many religious believers.
The lecture will educate people about Al-Aqsa’s importance, while also addressing the current heartbreaking events unfolding in Palestine.

Dr. Ismail Patel is the chair and founder of Friends of Al-Aqsa, a UK-based anti-apartheid organisation. He is the author of A Brief History of Palestine and The Muslim Problem.
