Al-Ihsan, in partnership with multiple Vancouver Islamic Centres and Masajid is hosting a one-day, free conference on July 14, 2023: “A Legacy of Excellence: How Islam Helped Shape Modern Civilization.” This program will aims to shed light on the historical contributions of Muslims and Arabs in various fields and their influence in helping shape modern civilization. The discussions and lectures will educate and inspire by exploring topics such as history, science, education, and more, while also addressing the need to counteract misconceptions and negativity surrounding Islam through a balanced narrative, fostering a deeper understanding of our shared heritage.
