School of Sufi Teaching – London – United Kingdom
Description:

Join your host Samayya Adnan to learn about the great and noble mothers and sisters of the Prophetic era (Sahaabiyat) in the beautiful setting of The School of Sufi Teaching In Bethnal Green.

What will we learn?

  • Learn about noble female companions.
  • Connect with the strong qualities of those women – strength, courage, leadership, love, bravery, forebearance, autonomy, daring, choosing truth, striving to be great slaves of Allah.
  • Soak in the transmissions and light emanating from these noble women.
  • Seek guidance from the life and light of these respected women.

There is so much to learn and be inspired from them. There is immense transmission being in the presence of these great women. Their qualities are not only about accepting Islam when it was presented to them but also being autonomous, exercising their rights and freedom of choice, choosing to advance their spiritual states, meeting resistance – outside and inside and navigating their way through, choosing truth and sticking to it, keeping Allah at the centre of their relationships and dealings with others, raising righteous children, and being the faithful slaves of Allah.

Let us spend some time in the company of these strong, humble, loving, kind, and spiritual women who took their guidance and light from none other than our beloved Prophet Mohammad (S). Let the divine light shine through these women and through us. Let’s soak in the blessings. Come and join us to be in the company of these noble women.

After the session we will serve tea followed by an optional silent Sufi meditation.

No knowledge of Arabic is required. All equipment will be provided. The event is open to both men and women.

Samayya takes the inspiration and transmission from the qualities such as leadership, courage, strength, bravery, determination, autonomy, and emotional intelligence from these most honourable and respectful female companions of Prophet Mohammad (S) as the role models for all women.

The School of Sufi Teaching offers instruction in teachings of five main Sufi Orders to awaken the hidden powers of the self and make them operative in life. The technique of the School consists of a special form of meditation (muraqaba), which results in intuitive insight that enables us to begin to understand the truths about life and the universe whilst developing our character. The School strives to understand the essential nature of humans, the universe, and humanity’s relation to it in a way relevant to the contemporary world.
