About our Guest Speaker: Dr. Jamillah Karim is an award-winning author and speaker, specializing in race, gender, and Islam in America. She is a former associate professor in the Department of Religious Studies at Spelman College and holds a BSE in electrical engineering and a Ph.D. in Islamic Studies from Duke University.

 

Dr. Jamillah is the author of American Muslim Women & co-author of Women of the Nation: Between Black Protest and Sunni Islam.

 

Books are available for purchase and signing in the Main Lobby after the program.
