Canadian Islamic Union Marriage 101 Understanding the Fiqh and Significance of Marriage

The Marriage 101 series presented by the Canadian Islamic Union aims to thoroughly prepare individuals for marriage diving deep into the Islamic fundamentals and secular perspective to maintain a healthy marriage.

The first workshop will focus on the fiqh, significance and obligations within a Muslim marriage.

Speakers will discuss the benefits and common misconceptions of marriage, delve into the process of nikah, planning and deciding mahr, rights and responsibilities of a husband and wife in Islam and how might these compare to common cultural practices of the west.

The audience will also have the opportunity to ask questions to our knowledgeable speakers.
