Description:

On behalf of the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto and the Muslim Medical Association of Canada (MMAC), we invite you to the 5th Canadian Muslim Mental Health Conference (CMMHC) to be held on December 11th and December 12th, 2021. This year our keynote session is titled “Collective Trauma, Healing, and Empowerment in the face of anti-Muslim discrimination” and will feature Dr.Fatimah Jackson-Best, Dr.Ahmed Hankir, and Nour Farhat.

Each year we host over 300 attendees from around the world including community members, faith leaders, mental health professionals, physicians, and researchers.

December 11th is intended for the general public and faith leaders.
December 12th is intended for health care professionals (*accredited).

*Accreditation Information: Accreditation: College of Family Physicians of Canada – Mainpro+: 6 credits.

Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada – Section 1 – This event is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1). You may claim a maximum of 6 hours.

Trainee/front line worker (Students, Imams, Police Officers, Teachers, and other frontline non-healthcare workers) – $20 Early bird, $25 after Dec 1st

Healthcare professionals (Physicians, Social Workers, Psychologists, Child and Youth Workers, Therapists, Counsellors, Pharmacists, Nurses, and any other health care professional)- $40 Early bird, $50 after Dec 1st

Group package includes 10 general public tickets – $180

*Accreditation details: This continuing professional development activity on December 12th, 2021 will be held under the Continuing Professional Development, Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto, and Department of Psychiatry. College of Family Physicians of Canada – Mainpro+: 6 credits. This one-credit-per-hour Group Learning program meets the certification criteria of the College of Family Physicians of Canada and has been certified by Continuing Professional Development, Temerty Faculty of Medicine, the University of Toronto for up to 6 Mainpro+ credits.
