The public lecture is designed to advance scholarship in Islamic finance and to strengthen collaboration, learning and innovation amongst economists, lawyers, sharia scholars and regulators.
The event is organised by Dr Jonathan Ercanbrack, in collaboration with Dr Amel Makhlouf, research associate at the Centre of Islamic and Middle Eastern Law (CIMEL) at SOAS University of London.
It will take place in the Khalili Lecture Theatre located in the Main Building of SOAS University of London, 10 Thornhaugh Street, London WC1H 0XG.
The event will last 2 hours. There will be an opportunity for Q&A and general discussion.
The event will be followed by a cocktail reception in which drinks and nibbles will be served.
