Description:

After successfully covering Juz 30 in the first year, and then Juz 28/29 in the second year, we are back for a third year running to continue our journey through the Qur’an…

At a time of immense blessings (Fajr) in the holiest of months (Ramadan), Ustadh Farhan Mahmood & Ustadh Shabbir Hassan will take you through Juz 26 & 27 of the Qur’an for an hour each day after Fajr. In total, there are 12 chapters (Surahs) including many familiar ones such as Surah Ar-Rahman & Surah Al-Waqi’ah.

How many of us know the meaning and significance of each of these unique chapters? What was the background of revelation for each one? How many lessons can we draw from them?

This course will help you unlock Juz 26 & 27 by covering the translation and commentary of these chapters with spiritual reflections. You will learn about the different stories mentioned in these Surahs, and together we will uncover the different themes & lessons within.

Juz 26 Breakdown (5 Surahs):

Surah Al-Ahqaf, Surah Muhammad, Surah Al-Fath, Surah Al-Hujurat, Surah Qaf

Juz 27 Breakdown (7 Surahs):

Surah Al-Dhariyat, Surah Tur, Surah Al-Najm, Surah Al-Qamar, Surah Ar-Rahman, Surah Al-Waqi’ah, Surah Al-Hadid

Please note that classes will be held Monday-Friday (excluding weekends) and there will be 18 sessions in total. Class timings will vary slightly based on Fajr timings. We will aim to start at least 15 minutes after Fajr beginning time (London) to give you enough time to pray. The first class on 27/03/23 is scheduled to start at around 5:30 am (BST). Zoom details will be sent to all students beforehand. Open to all! Available live & on-demand (through recordings).
