Darien Sportsplex – Darien – Illinois – United States
Join us for an evening of family fun ice skating, warm refreshments, and community! This a private event with the entire rink reserved for our party. All ages and abilities are welcome. However, everyone on the ice must be able to skate independently as there are no walkers or guides available or allowed. No instruction will be offered. Anyone attending must register, even if not staking. Fee includes ice rink use, skate rental, and refreshments. Skates may not be guaranteed in your size for later arrivals. Please bring your own stakes if you have any.
Darien Sportsplex Public Skate Rules
1. Be courteous to other skaters
2. Stay alert on the ice at all times
3. Skate at your own risk
4. Skate in the direction of traffic flow at a safe and reasonable speed
5. The center ice circle is for figure skaters only
6. No horseplay including speed skating, weaving, checking, throwing snowballs, and tag
7. No standing along the boards
8. No hockey stops against the boards
9. No hockey sticks or hockey pucks on the ice
10. No equipment on the ice including chairs, cones, black pads, and tires
11. No shoes on the ice
12. No food or drink on the ice
Any violation of the rules will result in a warning. Anyone who violates a second time will be asked to leave the ice.
By registering, I hereby acknowledge that I am participating in a dangerous sport, where there is the potential for serious injury, including death. I waive my rights and am solely responsible for my actions and hold harmless the Darien Park District, Darien Sportsplex, the MECCA Center, their Officers and Staff.
