Among the countless bounties from Allah SWT, that we enjoy in every moment of our lives, there is one special bounty that transforms human beings in a most extraordinary manner. Whilst we enjoy this bounty of becoming a parent, it is also necessary to recognise parenthood as a gift from Allah SWT with responsibilities that will last a lifetime. Being cognisant of the spiritual aspects of parenthood is equally important as the need for adequate medical attention during pregnancy and birth.

This programme begins with a focus on ourselves and our Creator, our baby and after baby is born. During the programme we will discuss the thought processes of pregnant women, the adjustment to pregnancy, our experiences and how we cope, the new person inside us, contemplating a mother-to-be’s concerns and considerations for the best start in life with some discussion of the on raising Muslim child in this modern world.     2. Calculating the 120th day
    3. His soul and his awareness
  5. Meeting your baby
    1. A new life begins: preparing for labour, and during labour
    2. Raising a servant of Allah
    3. Du ‘a for you, your baby
Instructor: Mualima Zaitoon Ebrahim

Born and raised in Cape Town, Zaitoon Ebrahim is a motivational speaker, artist, mom of 2 boys, and author. She obtained bachelor’s degree in Islamic Theology at Islamic College of Southern Africa and started her career as an Islamic studies educator at Madrassatul Quds. During this time, she managed youth events with an NGO, facilitating events, camps, and leadership training for adults and youth. Being involved with the youth, she also co-presented on radio Voice of the Cape for one year on the show, ‘For Young Individuals. The key focus of this programme was to educate young individuals about entrepreneurship and personal growth.

In addition to this, she obtained a Diploma in Project Management, a diploma in Didactics, and certification in Life Coaching, Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Therapeutic Art Coaching.

7.30pm to 9 pm (15 min break for maghrib Salah)
