oin Sistah Aisamah Muhammad-Muneer on Thursday, June 9 at 4:00 p.m. and explore the different flavors of the Islamic culture of dress embraced by Muslim Women born in America of African descent. These styles are represented in her one-of-a-kind, handmade dolls on display at the library until June 14. Sistah Aisamah will also share engaging stories with audience participants.
This traveling exhibit is part of In the Path of Islam, a project brought to you by The Free Library of Philadelphia and The Building Bridges Program of the Doris Duke Foundation for Islamic Art.
