The Jewels of Islam has provided programs and a supportive network to women 50 years and older since 1989. Over 55% of the membership has made the pilgrimage to Mecca. It is the Niyat (intentions) of Masjidullah Jewels of Islam that by the Mercy and Help of Allah (SWT) that they meet to comply with the basic institution for our Iman and Deen: to make an effort to provide an environment in which the spiritual, social and recreational needs of older women are addressed.
Co-founder Hajjah Rafiqa M.S., Sista Aisamah Muhammad-Munner, and Linda Toia will talk about their connections to Islam, the development of the organization, and its commitment to inter-faith collaboration. A short video will be shown, and participants will be encouraged to ask questions.
