Description:

Ustadh Sohaib Hasan is a hafiz of the Qur’an and new grad student at NYU. This class is aimed to help students build a foundation of tajweed, learn to recite the Qur’an with proper pronunciation, and implement the essential tools to carry forth the tradition of passing on knowledge. Students with any level of Qur’anic/Arabic knowledge are encouraged to join, even if you have no familiarity at all. No prior knowledge is necessary.

*NOTE: CLASSES WILL BE HELD VIA ZOOM ONLY STARTING DECEMBER 23 AND THROUGHOUT MOST OF JANUARY. IN-PERSON CLASSES WILL RESUME ON JANUARY 28, INSHA’ ALLAH. 

All non-NYU guests must be registered through our building access form in order to attend this event. You must also have proof of COVID vaccination and booster to show upon request.
