Friday, September 9th marks World Sexual Health Day! And as Muslims, we need and deserve sexual health education rooted in the Islamic tradition, centering the soul. Especially when many of us can’t fully relate to the mind- and body-focused sexual health content we see online.
For this reason, I’m facilitating a webinar on World Sexual Health Day called, “Islam, the Soul, and Sexual Health for Muslims.”Education for Muslims *must* center the soul, otherwise, we’re neglecting how God created us. I’ll be sharing details of what I’ve learned as a recent graduate from the Islamic Psychology program at Cambridge Muslim College, and how I’m applying this knowledge into my work.
- Explore the relationship between the Islamic tradition of the soul and sexual health, from the lens of Islamic Psychology.
- Learn about common sexual health issues facing Muslims.
- Implement practical and holistic ways to address your sexual health as a Muslim.
