Description:

Islam and Muslims can be foreign to many health professionals. They may not be aware of how Muslims tend to grieve and how involved their religious beliefs are in their grief. To provide better service that incorporates religious values, it is important that health professionals be aware of Islam and how Muslims grieve.

This seminar aims to educate mental health professionals about the coping mechanisms that Muslims use to process their grief.
