Description:
The Croissant Club is a book club that explores Muslim hybrid identities through faith-based mediums.

We discuss books, articles, podcasts, films & much more, with one session a month. All new and old young members welcome – come along to our next session below, if interested!

The upcoming session for the month of November 2021/Rabi Ul Thani 1443H will be *part II* of the discussion of the collection of essays written by Muslim women, through discussing the following book:

It’s Not About the Burqa

Edited by Mariam Khan

on

*Sunday 21st November 2021/16 Rabi Ul Thani 1443H, 6-7:30 pm UK time*

The essays by Muslim women cover faith, feminism, sexuality, and race. They discuss the hijab and wavering faith, love and divorce, sex, the twin threats of a disapproving community and a racist country, and how Islam and feminism go hand in hand.
