Description:
Black Muslim Women reflect on the life of the Prophet and share examples of compassion and mercy in our lives as a means of healing.

We know compassion is a cornerstone in our daily Islamic practice and as a result our overall wellbeing. However, it is also known that there is a lack of compassion which is keeping us stuck from cultivating the mercy and compassion we need to meet our needs and that of our community.

This month our honored speakers will take us on a journey of the Seerah to reflect on the lessons we can learn from the ‘Mercy to Mankind’ the Prophet (Peace and blessings be upon him) on how he manifested mercy and compassion with himself, his loved ones and the wider community.

The workshop will include an interactive session to proactively begin to plan how each of us can nurture the much-needed mercy and compassion we need for our own healing.

Our speakers

Patricia Anyasodor

Hauwa Shehu

Abira Hussein
