Description:

Building on the understanding that all civilizations are interconnected and influence and interact with one another, this presentation highlights the contributions of Muslims from the so-called Golden Age of Islam in the medieval period to the present in a multitude of fields from art, literature, philosophy, and architecture to cuisine, clothing, and furniture. It describes the impact of these contributions, not only in regions where Muslims were the majority but also where Muslims were key trading partners, in Europe and beyond.

There will be ample time for Q & A and a discussion with the speaker, Ameena Jandali.

If you are interested in attending this event, please email ING’s Programs Assistant Melissa Levinson at [email protected].
