Description:

On behalf of the Muslim Women of Cambridge, Hospice Waterloo Region and the Islamic Centre of Cambridge, we invite you to join us as we open up conversation about how we can better support each other as we navigate serious illness, death, dying and grief. We are thrilled to have 4 amazing individuals to share key information and lead us through discussion of these topics. We welcome Dr Amra Noor , a local geriatrician to explore the kinds of questions and conversations we should be having with our physicians. Our second guest is Caitlin Agla, Director of Client Services for Hospice of Waterloo Region. She will lead a discussion of the hospice palliative approach to care and the services and supports available to you and your loved ones. We are also delighted to welcome Amna Butt, a Spiritual Care Practitioner, to lead us in exploring grief, what it is and how we can support someone who is grieving . We will round out the evening with Sheikh Raouf Kabbar, Imam MAC Hespeler who will bring an Islamic perspective to the evening’s conversations about serious illness, death , dying and grief .

This is a free event . Beverages and light snacks will also be available
