Race and education have often been a politically contested space. This one-day seminar on Muslims in Education aims to bring academics, civil servants, teachers, and educationalists together for a polylogue on race and ethnic disparity with a particular focus on Pakistani and Bangladeshi communities in Britain. This seminar will aim to discuss the state of race in British schools and identify policy suggestions for overcoming racial disparities. This seminar will be ideal for academics, elected councillors, education, and school leaders together with community activists.
