“He gifts to whom He wills female [children], and He gifts to whom He wills males.” [al-Shura: 49]
Children are undoubtedly a blessing from Allah SWT. From the moment a baby is conceived, parents eagerly plan for their future, and the joy of their arrival is boundless. The love we have for our children is natural and unconditional.
However, we must remember that children are an amanah (trust) from Allah SWT, and we have certain duties and responsibilities towards them and towards Allah SWT, who blessed us with them. Allah frequently mentions wealth and children together in the Quran, highlighting that both are tests for us to see how we manage these blessings.
