What: “Setting the Record Straight”
Exploring the Islamic narrative on gender identity, gender nonconformity and same-sex attraction
Who: For youth (Boys & Girls) ages 13+
with Imam Sikander Hashmi
Why: Children and youth are increasingly exposed to ideas and beliefs at school and in popular culture that are leaving them confused. We will discuss the Islamic narrative surrounding these issues in an effort to build an authentic and compassionate understanding on how to approach these issues.
