Description:

Bringing a baby home is often considered one of the most joyful moments in a new parent’s life. However, for some, this experience isn’t always filled with excitement. In fact, for some, these less-than-ideal feelings can begin during pregnancy, and continue into the postpartum period.

This is a webinar for everyone and anyone. While we often hear of mothers experiencing PPD and PPA, fathers can also experience it. We’ll also be discussing how to support one’s partner through this time.

Hafsa Pathan is the Chief Operating Officer at Sakeenah Canada. As a strong mental health advocate, Hafsa will be sharing her own experiences with both PPD and PPA.

Huma Saeedi is a registered psychotherapist and has been in the field for over 20 years. She works at CAMH in the Work, Stress and Health Program, as well as being a director and co-founder of Cedarway Therapy, a group practice focused on diverse communities. Her clinical work focuses on treatment for trauma, grief, and anxiety. Huma’s passion is to provide education to the public on mental health. She sits on the board of directors for several community based organizations, including Sakeenah Canada, facilitates regular workshops and trainings, along with responding to media requests.
