Sakeenah Homes Toronto Gala Theme: Protecting Our Children Sakeenah Homes provides essential support and services to those facing violence, homelessness, or poverty, empowering them to become healthy, independent, and thriving members of our society. Our children are our future. Sakeenah Homes has been serving women and their children for many years, but the need to focus on our youth is essential to our growth as a community. We are proud to announce that Sakeenah Foster Care will be the first licensed foster care agency in North America, and will help to place Muslim foster care children with trained Muslim foster families, giving them a chance to live and grow in a home according to Islamic standards. Join us at our Sakeenah Homes Toronto Gala in support of our essential programming for youth, to be held at the Mississauga Convention Centre this November 11th. Our Gala will host over 200 key members of our community and will feature leaders from community partners, politicians, and social service organizations. Our guest speakers will highlight the importance of providing safe Muslim environments for Muslim foster care children and will have key discussions around collaboration and support on issues such as youth homes and human trafficking. Your attendance at the Gala will ensure your input in these important discussions, helping to give our Muslim youth a chance for safety and success in the future
