The workshop led by Suhaiymah Manzoor-Khan centered around her new book Tangled In Terror, Uprooting Islamophobia

Suhaiymah Manzoor-Khan is a writer, poet, educator, and activist, disrupting ideas of history, race, knowledge, and violence, co-author of A Fly Girl’s Guide to University (Verve Poetry Press, 2019), and author of Postcolonial Banter (Verve Poetry Press, 2019). She will be leading a workshop for young people aged 16+ centered around her new book Tangled In Terror, Uprooting Islamophobia (Pluto Press, 2022); the workshop will explore concepts such as identity and belonging. The workshop will be followed by a reading and book launch in the evening with Suhaiymah Manzoor-Khan, chaired by Dr. Nisha Kapoor, Associate Professor in Sociology at the University of Warwick and author of Deport, Deprive, Extradite – 21st Century State Extremism, and ending with a Q&A session with Suhaiymah.
