Over ten years ago, we launched the Tamhīd Summer Arabic Program for students who wished to grasp the fundamentals of Qur’ānic Arabic in a condensed but comprehensive course. Hundreds of brothers and sisters have benefited from this program over the years. As the Tamhid program has evolved, it has been split into two distinct programs: Deen Intensive & Essential Arabic.

Together, these programs are designed to give students a good foundation in Arabic and Islamic Studies. They will begin to develop the appreciation of the intricacies of the language of the Qur’an and directly benefit from the eternally relevant Word of Allah ﷻ. Periodic quizzes and tests ensure students are grasping the concepts and retaining the new vocabulary.  Students who excel in the program may continue to DarusSalam Seminary’s flagship Tanwir Intensive 1 year Arabic and Islamic Studies Program.

Program Details

Deen Intensive

LOCATION: Onsite | DAYS: Mon – Fri | FOR: Brothers & Sisters 15+

In this four-week intensive, students will study essential Islamic Studies while spending time in the company of nurturing ‘ulamā and other students of the sacred sciences. These courses cover material which every Muslim must know. By attending Tamhīd Deen Intensive, one will begin their journey of acquiring their farḍ al-ʿayn knowledge.

Essential Arabic

LOCATION: Onsite | DAYS: Mon – Fri | FOR: Brothers & Sisters 15+

In this three-week crash course, students will study the language of the Qur’ān while spending time in the company of nurturing ‘ulamā and other students of the sacred sciences. Tamhīd Summer Arabic focuses extensively on reading, writing, listening, and speaking. A systematic syllabus exposes one to the theoretical disciplines of grammar and morphology, and time-tested primers lay a strong vocabulary base on which one can build.

LIVING ARRANGEMENTS

DarusSalam Seminary has arrangements for housing during the Summer Courses for male students over the age of 18. To be considered for the housing, please click here.

 

MEAL SERVICES

DarusSalam Seminary offers an affordable catered meal service that includes both lunch and dinner seven days a week. These meals are provided by local certified halal restaurants and offer a variety of meals. Each individual meal is $6. Students may order meals daily in the office.
