About this event

The 10th Islamic Legal Studies conference, convened by the International Society of Islamic Legal Studies (ISILS) in partnership with the Governance Programme at the Aga Khan University – Institute for the Study of Muslim Civilisations (AKU-ISMC), will be held at the Aga Khan Centre in London, 19–21 May 2022.

Twenty-two paper presentations distributed over six sessions will be preceded by an opening roundtable discussion on: ‘Islamic Law and Popular Culture’.

The conference will be held in hybrid format. Details for both in-person and online attendance will be shared after registration. Including corporate rate codes for accommodation.

Friday, 20 May 2022, 10:00-17:30, followed by the ISILS business meeting (ISILS members only), and the conference dinner (optional);

Saturday, 21 May 2022, 10:00-17:30;

Fees and Tickets

The conference fees cover the expenses of the reception after the Opening Roundtable and the lunches on 20 and 21 May.

If you wish to participate in the conference dinner after the ISILS business meeting on 20 May, please add the dinner to your ticket at check out. The conference dinner will show as an add-on.
