Description:

Could you name one person that you guarantee will forgive every single mistake you’ve made?

Can’t think of an answer? Well, it’s probably because that person doesn’t exist.

Humans will eventually get tired of forgiving others. As much as they love you, there will be a point where they get disappointed in you, and find it hard to forgive you.

However, there’s One whose door of pardon will always be open for you, despite your shortcomings—that is Allah (s.w.t.), The Most Merciful.

We’ve all committed sins, and we’ll continue doing them, for as long as we live. Yet, Allah (s.w.t.) will never grow tired of forgiving us.

It was narrated in a hadith where Rasulullah (s.a.w.) said,

“(Allah wrote) ‘My Mercy surpasses My Wrath.’”

(Riyad as-Salihin)

Nevertheless, no believer should take His mercy for granted. We should always strive to seek the mercy of our Lord.

Hence, what’s the best way for us to accomplish that?

Find out more in The Gift of Mercy: Unwrapping Allah’s (s.w.t.) Divine Compassion by Shaykh Yahya Ibrahim and Shaykh Yusha Evans, as we learn about the profound concept of Allah’s (s.w.t.) mercy, and discover the best methods for attaining His boundless compassion.
