Jannah Institute in collaboration with The Muslim Sisters of Minnesota and Strive, would like to invite you to “The Sound Heart”, an evening with Dr. Sh Haifaa Younis!
What is a sound heart?
What are its signs and attributes?
Do I have a sound heart?
How do I nurture one?
In Surah Shuara, Allah says, “And disgrace me not on the Day when people will be raised to life, the Day when nothing will avail, neither wealth nor offspring, but only he that brings to Allah a sound heart will (attain to success).” Chapter 26, Verse 87-89.
We feel the pain of failure when tested by the consuming desires of our nafs and perhaps drowning in the dregs of humiliating self-flagellation on a daily basis. How do we pivot back sharply confident and akhirah focused again? Akhirah focused means nurturing our heart towards soundness through recommended acts as a daily process, and not as an ultimate destination.
