The Through Our Eyes Launch Event is almost here! Join us at Fairview Library Theatre for an exclusive screening of our first two episodes. Episode one reveals the story of how Hassan Al Kontar, a Syrian-Canadian author who was stranded at Kuala Lumpur’s airport for 7 months, was able to begin a new chapter in Canada. The second episode unravels the story of an Afghan documentary photographer named Tahmina Saleem, and her journey to continue to discover her dedication to photography, here in Canada.
Come celebrate the platform’s launch while experiencing diverse accounts of resiliency and hope shared by refugees through captivating storytelling. After the screening, you’re invited to stick around to enjoy an afternoon of networking and getting to know one another over the shared experience of listening to refugees tell their stories in their own words.
