If the exact date and time of Judgement Day was revealed to us, how would we spend our remaining hours in this world?

We’d most likely apologise to the people we’ve wronged, make up for the prayers that we’ve missed and repent to Allah (s.w.t.) till the very last second. Not a single minute will be wasted.

Although it may seem far away, that day is coming. In fact, all of our lives are leading towards that One Final Day. It was a promise of the Almighty that none can escape from.

And while we can still plan for tomorrow, next month or next year, none of us are guaranteed a moment in this life.

Allah (s.w.t.) reminded us in the Qur’an,

“They ask you, O Muhammad, about the Hour: when is its arrival? Say, “Its knowledge is only with my Lord. None will reveal its time except Him. It lays heavily upon the heavens and the earth. It will not come upon you except unexpectedly.”

(Al-A’raf, 4:187)

Hence, as believers, how should we prepare ourselves to face the Promised Hour, and not be among the heedless?
