Yawm Ul-Qur’an

A day dedicated to reading as many surahs and Ajzaa of the Qur’an as possible, held in the 10 best days of Dhul Hijjah. The aim is to encourage sisters to give time for Quranic recitation and motivate them to complete the Quran in one sitting. This would be following the footsteps of our pious predecessors like Uthmaan ibn ‘Affaan, Tameem ad-Daari, and Sa‘eed ibn Jubayr, all of whom completed the Qur’an in a single rakah.
In Ramadan, Imam ash-Shaafa‘i and Imam Abu Hanifah used to complete the Qur’an sixty times (twice a day), reciting it outside of prayer. This will be a great opportunity for the community to get closer to the Holy Qur’an, and increase our love for it, by reciting it in the same gathering.
